New! Announcing the CENTRAL JERSEY TRIPLE!

2008 will be the inaugural season for The Central Jersey Triple. All people (members and non-members of CJRRC) who run and/or volunteer in all three of the following club races will receive a commemorative coffee mug.

Our three club races are:

June Moon 5K – June 20, 2008

Fall Classic 4 Mile – Sept. 1, 2008

Hangover Run 5K – Jan. 1, 2009

The mugs will be presented at the Hangover Run. A list will be updated on www.cjrrc.org after each race showing who is eligible for the award.

MORNING RUNS IN SOUTH BRUNSWICK

If anyone is visiting Central New Jersey near Princeton & Edison, I have weekday morning training runs on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Location: Farrington Lake at Riva Road and Ireland Brook Drive, South Brunswick/East Brunswick border.

Training partner needed!

Starting time: 6:45am (Best to stretch before 6:40)

Finish: 7:30am

Running mile pace between 7:30 and 8:25 per mile, partly on country roads, Davidson Mill County Park and some trail. See deer, farms and streams. I run rain or shine.

Also, Tuesday hill workouts in Highland Park

Changes in the CJRRC Constitution

1. Paragraph III.E.1:

Change:

“Board meetings shall be held at least once a month on a date

separate from and prior to the Membership meeting”

To:

“Board meetings shall be held as required based on the need to transact the Club’s business with a minimum of four per year. The club’s President in conjunction with the Board’s members will assess the need for a Board meeting. If a Board meeting is called, the President will establish a date and agenda for the meeting.

2. Paragraph III.E.5.a

Change:

“A vote shall be taken by the Board for all club activities, all expenditures over $25, choosing members at large, and filling board vacancies due to resignation.”

To:

“A vote shall be taken by the Board for all club activities, all expenditures over $100, choosing members at large, and filling Board vacancies due to resignation.”

3. Paragraph V.B.

Change:

“All votes shall be by secret ballot.”

To:

“All votes shall be by acclamation or open roll call unless a majority of club members present for the vote request a secret ballot.”
