Dear Hangover 5K Participants,

With a major Nor’easter expected to impact our area, and after multiple attempts to host the 2026 Hangover 5K Run, we have made the difficult decision to CANCEL this year’s event. We understand your frustration, and we are equally disappointed. A tremendous amount of work went into planning and coordination, but we cannot compromise the safety of our runners and volunteers.

That said, we will still be distributing the race hoodies.

We have a couple of brave local volunteers who will be at the park for those who wish to pick up their hoodie tomorrow, Sunday, February 22nd from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

About the Hangover 5k

What a GREAT way to start the year. Come ring in 2026 for our 43rd Annual Hangover 5k run held in and around Tamaques Park and the surrounding Westfield neighborhood. USATF certified course. Flat, tree-lined streets. As always, featuring a custom designed, cozy and warm hoodie (guaranteed to all pre-registrants). Post race refreshments will be available. Online registration closes when we reach the cap of 750 runners OR 12/24/25 at 11:59pm whichever comes first. THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROCESSED. Please re-read this, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS GIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES and NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.. Registered participants will receive email updates as the event date approaches.

Held in Tamaques Park in Westfield, NJ this race begins at noon (no need to get up early for this one), and is a fast, flat, and scenic USATF certified course. The loop is traffic controlled. There are water stops.

Tamaques Park will be open to parking but will close when spaces are filled. Parking will be available on the residential streets around the park. Bear in mind that since our race utilizes the roadway within the park, if you do park in one of these lots you will be required to remain in the park until we deem it safe for you to leave. Police will dictate that movement.

Post race refreshments. Hangover hooded sweatshirt guaranteed for ALL who registered before 12/24/25 at midnight.

Notes

USATF Membership is a calendar year membership. All memberships expire on December 31. You may apply for or renew your USATF Membership for the next calendar year which begins on November 1st.

NO DOGS, STROLLERS, or SKATES are allowed in the race as noted in the waiver on both the Race Application and Online Registration websites. Those who choose not to follow these safety procedures will be disqualified from the race.

CJRRC’s 4th Annual RED, WHITE & BLUE 5k!!!!

Date: Sunday June 28, 2026 at 8AM

Registration for the RED, WHITE and BLUE 5k will be ONLINE ONLY. There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. This race is limited to 250 participants.

Let’s start the 4th of July celebration early with a fun, 5k on a USATF certified course in Oak Ridge Park, Clark.  Professionally timed by COMPUSCORE, Red, White & Blue bandana for all registrants. Our course will have one water stop, post-race refreshments and RED, WHITE & BLUE medals to all finishers. Awards to Top 3 Overall (Male/Female) and Top 3 Masters (Male/Female). Plenty of parking on site.  Registration is online only – NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION and we will cap the race at 250 participants.  A portion of the proceeds will be used to benefit CRANFORD VFW POST 335 .

Timing will be provided by Compuscore – premier timing services in our area.

Awards:
Top 3 Overall (M/F); Top 3 Masters (M/F) no doubling dipping.  Finisher medals to all finishers.

Amenities:
Parking on site; “real” restroom facilities; post-race refreshments and a fun/race themed selfie wall to capture photos of yourself and your friends! We are hoping to provide a small goodie bag with a festive Red, White & Blue bandana to proudly wear at all the rest of your holiday festivities.

Course Description:
The course is USATF certified through beautiful Oak Ridge Park and free of vehicular traffic.  One water stop will be available on the course.
